Miss McCarthy  is Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál's career guidance and counsellor.

The Guidance Counsellor's role is to assist students in four main areas:

Personal, Social, Academic, Future Career

The academic and vocational needs of students are met throughout their academic career through many activities and interventions. A Guidance Counsellor also works with individual students on a more personal lever if required and provides help and assistance in non academic matters which can impact on the wellbeing of the student.
