A Massive congratulations to Ciarán Tattan on receiving the highest mark in Ireland in Junior Cycle Graphics. A huge achievement and clearly a very bright future ahead in Graphics for Ciarán
3 teams from SMGS competed today in IAMTA Maths quiz, with an overall total of 25 teams from various schools. Our team with Tadgh Ambrose, Ciaran Tattan, Malachy Burns and Daniel Kiely placed 2nd and will be travelling to the National finals in March. Well done guys!
A winning week for SMGS!!! Huge Congratulations to our Senior Girls Footballers on their Munster title in a thrilling game against Coláiste Fionncha today In Blarney. A final score of 5:14 to 0:9.
SMGS is still celebrating the great achievements of our Senior Hurlers securing the County title last Friday. Congratulations also to their opponents Coláiste Chríost Rí for a great game with a final score of 5:13 to 0:15.
It was a fantastic privilege to finally open our new school campus in a bright, sunny day last Friday. Bishop William Crean turned the sod on the site almost three years ago to the day and it was an honour to welcome the Bishop back to officially open and bless the school.
It has been a momentous week for Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál. We had the privilege of welcoming Minister for Education Norma Foley. We were so proud for her to meet our students and see the wonderful work that is been done by the staff and students in the new school campus.
