Scoil Mhuire gan Smál has an active Parent's Association which acts as a voice for the parent body. Members of the Parent Association are actively involved in policy development and fundraising activities towards providing vital services for the student body.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I would like to invite all parents and guardians to attend the upcoming Parents’ Association Annual General Meeting.
Date: 20/10/26
Time: 7.45pm
Venue: Scoil Mhuire gan Smál (G38)
The meeting will provide an opportunity to conclude the business of the existing Parents’ Association and to establish the Association for the year ahead.
The meeting will include:
A brief AGM of the existing Parents’ Association;
An overview of the role and work of the Parents’ Association within the school;
The establishment of the Parents’ Association Standing Committee for the coming year;
An outline of the role of Parent Representatives on the school’s Board of Management; and
Information on the nomination/election process for the two Parent Representatives to the Board of Management.
We intend to keep the meeting focused and efficient, with a maximum duration of one hour.
A strong and active Parents’ Association is an important part of school life and provides a valuable means of strengthening partnership and communication between parents and the school. I would therefore encourage parents and guardians who may be interested in becoming involved, whether as a member of the Standing Committee or as a Parent Representative on the Board of Management, to attend.
I look forward to meeting you on the evening and to working with our Parents’ Association in the year ahead.
Kind regards,
Damien Moloney
