TY students at SMGS take part in a Christmas Craft / Design Competition with Ms Holohan. Decorations for the tree are favourites, followed by quirky digital messages for students and staff to keep safe and have fun over Christmas and the New Year.

This year’s Open Night is unfortunately unable to go ahead yet again due to Covid restrictions.

Therefore, this year’s Open Night will be held virtually to give prospective parents and students an idea of what the school has to offer.

TY Mini- Company 2021

We would like to say a huge thank you Blarney Chamber of Commerce for their continued support of the TY Mini-Company class this year.

Though basketball can't continue this year due to restrictions it's great to see our past student Michelle Ugwah doing so well with basketball stateside.

Fifth Year students in SMGS are currently organising a raffle to raise funds for Cork ARC Cancer care. A very worthy cause. Enter the raffle by purchasing tickets through the go fund me page linked below.

A live Information session will take place on Thursday 11th February at 11.30am on the T.Y Guidance group on Google Classroom.

Transition Year student Miriam Murphy is working on a project for Scifest. The title is “Organ Donation - The Gift of Life” and it’s to gather the understanding of the population about organ donation and bring more awareness about the topic.

The following contingency plans are being uploaded to cater for remote teaching and learning during the current lockdown.

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far to our S.V.P Food Appeal. We have been blown away by the showcase of generosity in the form of donations.

It is a long standing tradition in our school to go carolling outside of Penneys in Patrick St., Cork, before Christmas with Sixth year students and teachers to raise money for St. Vincent de Paul.
