Elma Walsh visits SMGS

Senior students of SMGS were privileged to receive a talk from Elma Walsh, mother of the late Dónal Walsh, who visited the school last Thursday. The visit was organised by the Amber Flag Committee. The Amber Flag committee have continued to promote positive Mental Health in our school community for many years now. Elma’s inspiring talk to a captive audience of students was centred on the concept of positive mental health for teenagers. Elma was presented with a beautiful wood carving designed by the Woodwork department.
