First Year Futsal Match Report

1st yr Blarney girls proudly represented Cork in FAI Ladies Futsal Munster final which took place in WIT on Tuesday 20th November.  They won four games against Waterford, Kerry, Limerick and Clare; and drew one, against Tipperary,  putting them level with Tipperary.  A very close playoff game resulted in a 0-0 draw.  The girls narrowly missed out in a dramatic penalty shoot out, 3-2.  A great sports day out, the 1st yr girls returned exhausted to Blarney 12 hours later with silver medals.  Well done girls! A big thank you also to their coaches for giving up their time to coach and travel with the girls.
