Lord Mayor's Cup success

Success in the Lord Mayors cup today for SMGS U17 1/2 hurlers. Despite being ten points down at half time,SMGS put in a massive second half performance to draw level right at the end with a brilliant Ruairi Dennehy point.

With the game going to 65s to be settled, Eoghan Kirby hit a pressure equaliser. Cian Dunlea then stood up and against the wind, hit a monster winner.

Ben Ahern was brilliant throughout, mark callanan, Alan shine and Sean Sheehan totally dominated in the half back line the second half and jack o Keeffe, William Crowley and Stephen Mullane fought hard all through.
