Silver Gaisce Award Winners

We are very proud of these 6 students who were presented with their Silver Gaisce Award last night in St Peter’s, Cork City.

Gaisce-The President’s Award is a programme for young people between the age of 15 and 25.It is a direct challenge presented to all young people by the president Michael D.Higgins to dream big and develop in personal,physical,community and in team challenges. The girls volunteered and completed 1 hour for 26 weeks in: Personal Skill, Community Involvement and Physical Recreation.They also completed a 3 day,2 night Adventure Journey to Killarney that included a hike to the top of Torc Mountain!

Both Seanan O’Brien and Orla Leahy are completing their Gold Gaisce that involves completing 52 weeks in each section. Congratulations and well done girls!
