SMGS Rugby Update

Our 1st Yrs took part in a blitz in IIP on Tuesday 28th January. In the 11 a side matches the lads beat teams from Carrigtwohill, Carrigaline and Kinsale A. They lost out to Kinsale B by one try.

With a lot of the lads in 1st Yr and some ‘trying’ the game there was still some super talent on show with some great tries scored. The crew are out again next week in PBC grounds for another round of matches.

After midterm the U18s will travel to take on Thurles CBS in the SF of the Bowen Shield and the U16 squad will travel to Charleville to take on Tarbert in the 2nd Rd of the Giles Shield.

Training continues (weather permitting) on Tuesday evenings from 3:45-4:50pm for Junior players.
