Senior Ladies Football secure a tight win

Our intermediate ladies football team had their second round of the Munster competition today in Charleville. In a tight game against Mitchelstown, the girls fought hard and won by just a point.

Blarney had a good start going up by nine points in the first half with scores from Aiobhin Kiely, Fiona Bourke, Andrea O Connell, Anna Barry Murphy, Eimear O Reilly, Danielle Hendley and Aideen O Donovan. However, Mitchelstown were very lucky to get three goals brining them back into the game. Blarney led by four points at half time.

The second have was extremely tight. Blarney did not give up and managed to win by just a point. The final score was 5-12 to 6-8. Well done girls.
