SMGS Rugby Updates

Our up and coming stars have had the opportunity to play in IIP recently with the U15 squad and U17 squads getting game time on the new 4G surface.

An average of 30 players attending training on a Tuesday evening which is great to see. New recruits always welcome.

Our U18s has a good win today against Carrigaline in the Bowen Shield winning by 23-17. A super defense and some great running rugby saw the SMGS lads up 18-10 at half time as conditions deteriorated. A  2nd try by Jack Leonard put the game beyond doubt at 23-10 where a late Carrigaline try closed the gap.

Tomorrow our U16 s travel to Charleville RFC to take on Charleville CBS in the 1st rd of the King Cup. Ko is 11am.
