Transition Year Students will sit their end of module exams in the next few days. Students will be situated in the Study Hall and C1/C2. Full attendance is expected for all exams. TY students will attend classes as normal for times that exams are not scheduled.

Our 5th year L.C.V.P. class will be holding a fundraiser for the charity “Enable Ireland” on the 23rd October. For this fundraiser we ask 1st and 4th year students to participate in a “24 hour no phones challenge”. The money raised from this fundraiser can help provide a Tobii Indie tablet – designed for children with speech and language disabilities such as non-verbal autism, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.

SMGS has used the online platform of Edmodo for some time now to interact with students by posting subject material, homework etc.

A walk will be held in aid of The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) on Sunday, 23rd September 2018 in Killarney. The walk will raise funds for IMNDA while remebering the late Mr. Paddy Buckley, a much loved former colleague who we sadly lost to Motor Neurone Disease in 2016.
