Girls Basketball Champions 🏀🏆

We are very proud of our U19 Girls Basketball team who were victorious over St Mary’s Midleton today in Neptune Stadium! The girls were cheered on from the sidelines by family members and supporters from SMGS.

They played an incredible game today, winning each quarter and staying ahead of their opponents all the time.

SMGS top scorer was Simone O’ Shea with a total of 24pts. Sinéad Singleton was next with 14 pts total. Aoife McSweeney (capt.) scored 8pts, Emma Murphy 6pts and Laura Kelleher 5pts.

They are the winners in the Cork ‘B’ league and now progress through to All-Ireland stages after Christmas. The final score of the match was 57-40.
