SMGS Boys Basketball Update

SMGS safely through to the under 16 A Boys Basketball final.

Today in Rochestown, SMGS overcame a gallant Rochestown College side to progress to the South Region U16 Final, to be played this Wednesday in Neptune Stadium at 12:30pm. Today's semi final saw Blarney working hard from the get go as Rochestown’s defence put up a huge fight. With Blarney leading from the start, the boys really stood up to the plate in the third quarter with Kelvin O’ Donoghue driving up the court and finishing with two graceful three pointers on top of Jack’s majors in the second quarter.  The boys showed sheer determine with Conor's defensive efforts coming to the fore. The last quarter saw the Blarney bench building on the efforts of their teammates with a 24 point victory over Rochestown. Best of Luck in the final boys!
