Great win for SMGS Camogie
Senior Camogie girls beat Gaelcholaiste Mhuire today 7-5 to 1-6 to progress to the next round of the Cork Colleges. Well done girls.
First Year Football Update
Our First Year Girls Football team played Coláiste Gobnait last Friday. The weather was close just like the match. Tension filled the air. It was a rocky start to the match conceding 3 points in quick succession. Luckily the girls came back scoring multiple points. Kelsey Cooper made an excellent run and a great pass by Megan O Shea guaranteed a goal. Half time score was Blarney 1:8 to Coláiste GobhnaIt 4:5.

First Year Volcanoes
Today First Year students took part in a student inquiry on volcanoes as part of their Geography studies. The task involved creating a active volcano themselves out of man made materials and using a combination of reactive ingredients, they displayed their volcanoes as they erupted.
Promising start for First Year Girls Football
Our first year ladies football kicked off the season today where they took on local rivals from Coachford.
Sports Day 2018
Blessed with plenty of glorious sunshine, we had the perfect conditions on Fri 28th September to enjoy our annual SMGS Sports Day.

Great start to the season for the SMGS Girls Football!
This morning the SMGS Girls Senior football team travelled up to Charleville to take on SMI Newcastle West. The outcome of the game was a great win and a great start to the season for the girls. At half time it was a level game.
SMGS welcomes Camogie Cups
We had the great privilege today of having all three All Ireland Camogie cups in SMGS. The Minor, Intermediate and Senior cup were displayed to a full school assembly by members of the SMGS school community who played on the respective teams.
