Ag Science Trip to Moorepark
A farm visit to Moorepark, Fermoy took place on Friday the 9th March ‘18. Here, senior cycle students of Ag Science got the opportunity to experience aspects of farm life as well as exposure to new technologies and research carried out by Teagasc.

Junior Cert Irish Orals
Junior Cert SEC Irish Orals will take place next Monday 5th March. Students are required to attend for their oral at the scheduled time. Students leave class 10 minutes before the scheduled time and make their way to the exam centre

SMGS Soccer Update
Our U19s got knocked out of the Munster Competition with an unlucky defeat away to Mercy Mount Hawk of Tralee. It was a fiercely contested match between 2 good teams, but our lads were unfortunate to be losing after conceding a non-existent penalty and an own goal.
Alternative Careers for Men Workshop
The Guidance Dept of SMGS recently organised a workshop for TY boys that presented alternative careers for men.
SMGS's got talent! TYs wow judges!
The transition year students at SMGS participated in the Drama and Light Entertainment competition at the Briery Gap last week. The drama group presented an original play called "Perfect" written by Anna O Connor and Abby Leahy.
Girls Basketball Update
Well done to our 1st year girls’ basketball team who won their first round match yesterday. It was a good challenge in Neptune against a tough Midleton team.
