SMGS Amber Flag presents ‘The Value of Life’ by Humourfit

The next meeting of the SMGS Parents Association is scheduled for Tuesday 5th March 2019 @ 8.00pm in Room 1. 

Yesterday, our first and second years had a stormer of day winning both matched against Gaelcholáiste Mhuire AG. 1st year had a strong first quarter leading 12 points to nil and carried the lead all the way to the end. Top scorers were Ruth Dillion and Izzy Mcsweeney. 

Voting has begun in the 2019 Junk Kouture competition. Tidal Surge have already qualified but three groups - Léigh anois go cúramach, Sea Pollution and Slim Shady need you votes. Votes can be cast by registering at https://app.junkkouture.com/ and voting for your favourite group.

The Reading Den in SMGS is now open for lunch time borrowing to all students with library cards ( available in The Reading Den). Our Student Librarians are kept busy at these times stocking shelves, issuing books and tracking requests.

An information night for the parents/guardians of 3rd Yr students will take place on Tuesday 26th Feb @ 7.30pm in the study hall.

SMGS Pre Exams begin next week. The timetables are attached below and can also be downloaded from our website in the SCHOOL LIFE section under EXAMS.

We know that students can find it difficult to source work experience and we feel that this list will help. This list includes the names and the contact details of businesses in Cork City and the surrounding area that offer work experience placements.
